High School Voluntary Work-Experience Placements for 15-18 year-olds

Volunteering Abroad for 16 Year Olds

If you're in the 15 to 18 age group and have time to volunteer over the summer holidays or in December and January, why not join us on one of our short programmes designed for you? Aimed to give you valuable work experience or develop a particular skill in two to four weeks, these placements are structured to allow you to make the most of a short time overseas while contributing to community service hours credit or CAS requirements, or college applications.

Not aged 15 to 18? See our full range of projects for anyone aged 16 to 75 here.

You will live and work with a small group of fellow-students. This can include your friends if you want to travel together. With a mixture of taught sessions, hands-on and observational work, as well as evening activities and weekend excursions, this is a perfect way to have some fun while contributing massively to your CV or UCAS form.

Every year, thousands of High School Special volunteers actively participate in these projects. During their time abroad, they contribute towards achieving long-term goals and make a long-lasting positive impact on the communities where they work.
